Computers
Evidence Review
Foremost and one of our major tools is the Mac Pro set-up, a serious piece of kit, and used mainly for evidence review. It’s not just a matter of staring at a video screen for several hours, it does takes quite a bit of practice to be able to review evidence effectively, with Final Cut Studio 2, where we are able pull apart video and look deep into what has been taken frame by frame. Also increase frame size to over 800% +, which enables me find evidence that may be missed, we can adjust the footage, clean it up and do all sorts of pulling apart to see what is real and what is only an anomaly.
Computer Gear at NZPI
We also use Sound Track Pro for EVP which allows me to clean up the audio evidence and remove any background interference. This is a very powerful bit of software and we find it enables the group to take audio investigation to the next level.

Here at Oz Boyz, we often get asked to check other groups evidence footage in PAL or NTSC. We also run 2 laptops – a 17″ Dell for wireless audio and a 15″ HP for data control.
We also have an iMac which is mainly used in conjunction with PhotoShop to view photographs for evidence based investigation.

Command Central Set Up
This is our common set-up to run and monitor a small to medium sized investigation. It can be manned by 2 people at anytime, which enables us to cater for anything from a small unit to a multi-story building complex.

If you are a new group interested in paranormal research and investigation, then starting off from scratch really shouldn’t be that hard. All you really need is just the most basic of equipment and you will find that you will learn more this way. We have years of experience and really enjoy paranormal investigating, which keeps us motivated, interested and at the pinnacle of research and investigation into the paranormal psyche.
