In the coming weeks I will be discussing all things paranormal from a scientific perspective. My background includes a Bachelor of Science, experience in analytic chemistry, clinical biology and drug discovery and now I am back at university studying for a PhD in medicinal chemistry. My experience, especially in chemistry has taught me that the rationale given to theory has no influence on an experimental result. This is science in its purest form.
To date there is no internationally recognized scientific literature demonstrating the existence of ghosts, UFOs and other popular paranormal entities. There is also very little material published by skeptics. This lack of knowledge has given rise to countless myths on the subject with no or little scientific scrutiny.
There are many unanswered questions and dubious reasoning attached to paranormal phenomena. It is my intention to clarify such questions. I will be addressing anything interesting found in the field, common arguments and topics of interest added to the comments page.
